Witness Considers Jensen 'Friend' and 'Mentor'

On cross-examination, Korte asked Taylor, who is now a lobbyist, if he considered Jensen a friend. "I consider him a friend and a good mentor," Taylor said.

Taylor said he doesn't think he's ever personally lobbied Jensen. Asked if Jensen still has considerable influence over the Assembly, Taylor said, "I think his opinion on various policy matters are still highly regarded."

Taylor did tell Korte that he consulted with ARC director Ray Carey about the Oswald campaign, and that he and Carey talked about devising a campaign plan.

He also said Carey would attend Jensen office staff meeting.

Asked if he ever saw Hoeper-Richard, who was also treasurer of Taxpayers for Jensen at the time, with fundraising materials for the organization in the speaker's office, Taylor said yes.
