Dake Testifies About Grant's Design Work

Prosecutor Roy Korte produced a fax sent by Dake to ARC graphic designer Eric Grant requesting he design a fundraising mailer for Taxpayers for Jensen. Dake testified he faxed it via the Jensen office machine, and the fax was timestamped 3:12 p.m.

The fax included handwritten notes from Jensen on what he wanted the mailer to say. Korte asked why Dake made the request of Grant.

"I went to Eric Grant for production of literature -- he was our graphic designer," Dake said.

Dake also recalled having conversations about the mailer with Jensen in the Capitol office, and said campaign material was often found in the speaker's office.

In early 1999, Dake worked on a special election campaign for Ted Nickel. He recalled that Grant also created campaign materials for Nickel.
